Do we need client letter for H1B amendment ?

Hi ,

 

I have got an assignment through a corp to corp opening . The job location has been changed so my employer wants to amend my H1B and apply for COS as earlier my COS was denied as the validity of I94 was provided wrongly by my attorney. Will he need a Client Letter for the amendment process ? Or will the contract hold good for the amendment ? My attorney is saying no client letter is required. But I want to get it validated through the eminent panelist of Murthy's Forum.
