H1B Amendment RFE and Employment change

Hi All,

 

I filed my H1B Extension in 2013 Jan and got it approved in March 2013. My name was spelled incorrectly in the petition. So we applied for Amendment in Aug 2013. I got an RFE in Jan 2014 for my Amendment request. Currently I am preparing required documents to submit for my RFE.

 

In the mean time, I am looking to change my employment. is that possible while the RFE is under processing? Or Should I wait for my amendment to get approved. one more question, why they sent an RFE to correct my name as such in the passport?

 

Kindly throw some light on this. If anyone requires more details, kindly tell me.
