h1EADhelp Posted January 15, 2014 Report Share Posted January 15, 2014 Hi - I am currently on a H1B and learned today that I am being terminated. I have a pending I-485 through a previous employer. I applied for my EAD on Dec 12, 2013 and it is currently pending. The question I have is can I stay in the US waiting for my EAD, without seeking another H1B visa through another employer? I am interviewing and expect to have an offer within 2-3 weeks. Thank you. Link to comment
JoeF Posted January 15, 2014 Report Share Posted January 15, 2014 You can wait for the EAD. The pending I-485 keeps you legal. You can only work once the EAD is approved, though. Link to comment
