Travelling after transferring and worked on CPT in the first semister

Hi,

I applied for H1 in 2013 but it was not picked in the lottery, I had to join a college to keep my status. I transferred to a different school and worked using part time CPT (20 hours) in the first semister.

 

I did not apply for CPT in the present semister(Jan to April 2014). I am planning to visit INDIA in March. My F1 visa (stamped on my previous univ) expires in Nov 2014.

Do i face any issues with imigration while coming back? What are my risk chances?

First, your motives in the U.S. are likely to be questioned by "joining a college to keep [your] status".  This is not an acceptable use of a F-1 student visa, which is for studying and earning a degree, not some sort of 'bridge' to maintain status.  Second, your use of CPT employment authorization in the first semester could well lead to further questions regarding your school, degree program, requirement in the published curriculum for working.

 

In other words, you may well face issues with immigration.
