Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status

Hi, 

 

I submitted my precompletion OPT application on Nov. 11 2013, requesting February 3rd, 2014 as my starting date. I got my receipt number (Form I-797C) with 3-4 days. Despite 2 months on, the case status on the USCIS application site still says 

• Your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the National Customer Serviddce Center at 1.800.375.5283.

 

I called the officials at USCIS at the requested number and asked them if anything was wrong with my application. They gave me a date when my application was last updated (Dec 27th), and they said that the website status is manually updated, hence not real time. They also mentioned that they don't have a decision yet. 

 

 I am really concerned that they are not updating the status, and I have no clue if they need any additional information. Anyone with similar issues ?
