Getting marriage certificate from indian embassy

Hi,

 

I'm currently on H1B visa and my wife is on F1. We got married in India on Aug 2013, but were not able to register our marriage in india due to the clouser of all gov. office in my hometome during that time.

 

Will it be possible to register my marriage in indian embassy and get the marriage certificate here.

 

fyi..my wife's name was not changed and her name is not added to my passport yet.

Without your wife's name in your passport or your name in her passport there is no possibility to get marriage certificate from Indian consulate. You need to apply for one in India.
