H1B Eligibity

Hi all,

 

I live in H4 and planed to get h1 this year.....

before that can some one tell me that can I qualify for H1 with my qualification

 

I am a safety and quality  professional with 10 years of experiance and education is 10+2+3 ( BA English literature )

 

I am not an IT fellow, do i qualifyfor H1 from H4.

Your education has nothing to do with your profession. I do not think you qualify for a H1B.

For an H1, you need to have the equivalent of a 4-year US bachelor degree in the specialty the job would be.

In the alternative, you would need 3 years of relevant experience for each year missing towards the required degree.

Quality careers often entail training of others and writing of documentation. It is quite possible that a degree in English lit and experience in writing and training could be a requirement of a position.  Everything depends on the specifics.

 

OP,  consider refresher courses or a certification to become more employable.
