H4 renewal outside the country

Hello,

 

 My wife went out of the country in end of sept (when my H1 extension was pending) and her visa expired in end of september . Now to return back to the country in H4 should I apply for extension in United states or she can just attend visa interview in India and come back in H4 status.

 

Also Is she eligible for dropbox?.

Your wife has to apply for a H4 visa at US consulate with a copy of your H1B extension approval notice. If she fulfills all requirements of drop box eligibility then she can.
