H1B stamping Question

Hi Guys,

 

My current H1b is valid until feb28th,2014 and i appled for H1 extension and expecting it  to get  approved until feb 26th ,2017. 

 

Question is :

 

If i go for H1B in Jan 1st week. will i get stamped until feb 28,2014 or they stamp until my new h1b extension is approved ..i .e., feb 26th 2017.

You need to show VO both I797s and you would get a longer visa validity.

i think its based on which 797 form you use or submit during your visa interview. 

 

Obviously your new 797 will be valid for 3 years from the date of acceptance/issue.

 

So if you go for interview after that date, then the stamping will be until the end date of the new 797

You may be able to get H1b stamp till 26th Feb 2017.

i am asking my situation if i go in the month of jan since me new h1 extn is starting from feb 28th and current is valid until feb 27th..
