Visitor Visa Needed, Spouse on EAD

Hello

I am in India getting married on 28th Dec. My fiancé is on EAD and is currently on an assignment in India. He will be traveling to US for some work meetings in Feb 2014 for 2 weeks and will then be back to India. I would like to accompany him as a visitor to the US.

Should I apply as a visitor B2 category with single under marital status or shall I wait till we get married on 28th of this month and then apply as married under marital status.

My fiancé thinks that if I apply as married it may lead to problems as his EAD is for immigrant visa and my visitor visa by definition is non immigrant visa.

Also please note that up until jan of this year I was in the US for the last 9 years working. I have since jan resigned and come back to India and have been preparing for my wedding after which we will settle in India.

Please recommend how I should apply for my visitor visa. Thank you.
