Can I travel to India when OPT extension is in Pending Status.

Hello All,

 

I am working in a company as a Full Time employee. I am planning a travel to India this month, but right now i don't have any valid employment card. My first OPT ended on December 14th, 2013 and currently i am working on OPT extension receipt which is default extended to 180 days.

 

Can i really travel during my application for OPT extension with USCIS is in pending status ?

 

Please advise at the earliest. Thanks in Advance!

It's better to wait for the outcome of your pending issue with USCIS. It's not advisable to leave when something is mid-way.
