H1B admin processing nightmare

Does anyone know how long it normally takes to clear admin processing in Mexico especially Merida. I had my interview on Nov 26th and was given a yellow sheet stating admin processing. The VO stated it could take weeks to be resolved but my case has not been updated since then. I talked to my lawyer and he said it is most likely a clearance check because i had a prior misdemeanor that was acquitted.  Does anyone how these normally take to be resolved?
