jmadhusudan
Hi All, Lucknow passport office told me that they have sent my clearance letter to the Indian Consulate in San Francisco 2 weeks ago but the SFO Consulate have not yet received it. Does anybody know the average time it takes for letters to reach the consulate? I am assuming it must have been sent by normal post. Thanks, Madhu Link to comment

As far as I heard documents from passport offices are not sent by regular post but through an entirely different process. Link to comment
singh125
Amritsar passport office sent an email which reached Indian consulate Chicago within no time in my case. I think they use registered mail which takes around 21 days or more. Link to comment
vasankg
if possible get the reference number/file number from the passport office and confirm with the consulate. In my case, they (AP passport office) sent via email to the Embassy and cc'd to my email after my brother went three times. Good luck! Link to comment
