I 94 was not surrendered - Re entered USA within 30 days

Hello All,

 

I travelled to canada on Nov 5th via air, and they did not took my I 94 during that time. From Canada, I flew to India stayed there for 2 weeks and returned to USA (Directly from India to USA) on Dec 3rd (within 30 days)

 

My question is, now I need to go and retrieve my new I 94. I stil have my old I 94 with me which is valid till 2016 (which I got during my H1 extension). Do I need to surrender my old I 94 now?

 

Will it be a problem in future? Please throw some light on this.
