H1 Visa while CPT

Hello,

I am a F1 student pursuing my Master degree currently in USA.....

I have travelled from India to start this MS programme in 2013 & plan to graduate in 2014 summer [approx. around July timeframe]. I have 4 years Bachelors of Engineering (BE) degree and around 10 years of IT work experience.

Since I am authorized to work on CPT, I have been shortlisted by a Consulting firm for a job which is starting soon in this Fall break.

This employer has informed me that a H1 can be applied for me in the coming 2014 window even before finishing my MS degree, based on my BE degree.

1) Is this possible? If so, will I get a approval on H1 application being on my F1 status?

2) If denied on my H1 application, will this impact my F1 by any chance?

3) Also, will this lead to any complication in future for my H1 if i need to apply after finishing my MS degree?

Regards,

Suresh

3. No.

Be careful about CPT. Do check twice with an immigration attorney whether you are eligible for CPT.
