EAD Card Received AP still in Initial Review

Hello All,

 

 I received my EAD Renewal approved and received card for 2 years with "No Reentry to US", AP still in initial review.

 

Question I have is , my preivous combo card is valid till Feb 2014. I have travel plans out of country in December 2013 for few weeks can I show the combo card with Feb 2014 expiry and the new EAD card at port of entry in January if my AP is not approved by then.

 

Please advise on how this should be handled , I dont mind getting seperate notice approval for AP. So the question is just about the travel. I have cotacted my attorney about the same.

 

Also are applicants still getting seperate EAD and AP even when filed concurrently.

 

*Note that when my application was filed I received LIN # for EAD and SRC # for AP.

 

Just checking for second opinion, if anyone encountered similar situation in the past.
