sushil76
I just got married last month and my wife is a F1 visa holder here in the U.S, while I am a green card holder. She will be traveling to India next month on a term break and I wanted to know if she would require any kind of documentation or do we need inform any authority or USCIS about the marriage. We have a marriage certificate and she has not changed her last name, so I know that we don't have to change her name in the passport. But besides that, do we need to do anything. Will it affect her status as a F1 holder now that she is married to a green card holder? And do we need to do any documentation with any authority because she is traveling to India. KIndly advise. -Sushil Link to comment
itsmeusa
If she has valid F1 stamp on her passport, she can travel between India and US without any issues. Your GC may impact only if she files for F1 extension or go to US consulate for F1 stamping interview. Link to comment
