skmmsk123
Hello everyone here is my case. Suggestions are welcome. 1st DWI arrest in NY (0.09 BAC)- Nov 1, 2013, first court date on Nov 21 and got hardship License for 30 days. Hired a DWI attorney and he said he can get this to DWAI (non-criminal traffic voilation) on Dec 5 (case will be closed with all papers etc and fines, suspensions) I have Visa stamping in India on Jan 3,2014. I am prepared for 221g and processing time of 30 days etc. ***But is it good/advisable to go for a stamping within 3 months of arrest, given the case is closed and everything taken care ? (I read on some forums that visa might get refused if we go within one year from date of arrest). Waiting for suggestions . . . . . Regards skmmsk Link to comment
