H1B New Petition - Passport Expiry

Hi,

I am planning to apply for H1B next cap (2015). My passport expires on Mar-2015, I cannot renewal it before Apr-14 as per Indian passport rules. Will there be any issue if the Petition filed with current passport number and after approval going to stamping with new passport number. ?

 

I need to renew the passport before travel it will be only less than 6 months when I got to stamping (Oct-14 to Mar-15)

For filing a H1B petition it will not be a problem. But, as you mentioned you need it renewed before you go for visa stamping as a validity of minimum 6 months is needed.
