L2 to H4,

Hi,

 

I am on L2, and working in a company on EAD and my L2 visa validity is 03 JAN 2014.My husband applied for H1 in April 2013 and approved on 14 November 2013 which is having effective start date  21 OCT 2013.Now my questions are

 

1.When i have to apply for H4

2.When i have to leave the current job.

3.If payroll ran on my name after OCT 21 2013 what will happen.

 

Please suggest me what is the correct thing i have to do now.

1 & 2. Right now. From 14th Nov 2013 you are no longer on L2 status but out of status.

3. As your husband's status changed to H1B on 14th November you are fine.

You need to apply for change of status which costs 300 if u hire an attorney . Get it done ASAP
