Hi There,

Currently I am on my OPT; extension which will be expired on DEC 2014.

Start date: July 16th 2013 to July 15th 2014

Extension: July 16th to DEC 16th 2014

1. I am going to get married on Feb 14th 2014 and I am planning to bring her on F2. I have been working from past 15 months from the data of my OPT start date.  I am planing to file my H1 in April. What were the chances of getting her to US on F2.

(FYI: Pay stubs for 14 months, W2 etc got all the documents in hand)

2.  She had take GRE and can she come on F1 if the chance of F2 were not good?

Please advise.

1. No one can predict chances. Everything depends on good documentation.

2. Yes, she can.

yeah she can come on F1, that's a better option in future aspect because she will not have any status problems for around 3-5 yrs(depending on how many years she got F1).She can also work without any complications.

If she comes on F2, you will have to apply for her H4 along with your H1 in april 2014.On H4 she can study but she cannot work.

Or you can apply for her H1 along with yours in April 2014.But very few employers agree to file for H1 for dependents. Its totally up to you to decide.
