Thanks, Rajkumar H1 and GC are different. So if in case your H1 is rejected, your employer still can continue processing GC. Link to comment

No, you won't file for your GC. Only an employer can do that, and that is no way related to your OPT or H1. That's completely different process. LIke I said earlier, you need to do some research on GC processing. Link to comment
