H4 visa related to W2 and pay stubs

Hi,

 

My husband is planning to for H4 visa by this year end. And we both are not sure about W2 and pay stubs. I did my masters and completed in dec 2012 and I worked as RA in university for which i have W2 for 2011 and 2012. And my opt started in feb 2013 and H1b started on Oct 1st 2013 so this year W2 will come in Jan 2014. So is it required to keep W2 when on OPT/H1b or W2 for previous years are good to show??? How  many pay stubs on H1b are needed???  Is client letter needed?? Can you please give me list of documents needed for my husbands H4 processing please.

The important thing is that the spouse is in valid H1 status, because only then an H4 is possible.

To show valid H1 status, it is important to have paystubs for all the time on H1. For times on F1 or F1/OPT, that doesn't matter.
