I traveled to INDIA on OPT which is expiring in Dec on returned to US on September 6. I received a new online I-94. Should I file for amendment of I-94 because my H1 I-94 and the I-94 I have does not match? Thanks.

Either your employer applies for a change of status and pays H1B fees and wait for 3 plus months by regular processing or you exit and enter US with H1B visa.
