Do we need Dubai Transit Visa to go out while returning from India?

Hello All,

 

I am planning to go to India in next Feb. 2014. While returning back I have a 9 hours layover time in DXB, Dubai. 

 

Me and my wife have a valid H-1 B and H-4 Visa stamping on our passports. (FYI --> H-1 - B & H-4 visa expires on Oct. 2015)

 

My question is, Do we need transit visa to go out and roam for few hours in Dubai? If so, can you please guide me how to apply transit visa?

You need a transit visa if your layover is more than 8 hours.

 

Check with your airline as they will do the necessary arrangements.

I am planning to fly in Emirates and I will definitely check with Emirates.
