H1-B 6 year duration start date

My wife came in US along with me in H4 visa on September 2006, and then she applies for H1 B Visa in 2007.  She got Visa in 2007 lottery in September 2007 but got first job in July 2008.

 

Enter in US (H4-Visa)—September , 2006

H1-B Visa approve--- September 2007

Got First Job---July 2008

 

I have maintained her H4 visa status until she got job in July 2008.

 

So her  H1B  duration started from  September 2007 or July 2008 once she got job.

Hmm, what do you mean with "you maintained her H4 status"?
Your whole post doesn't make all that much sense. We need way more information.

First, was the H1 a COS? If so, she was in H1 status from the H1 start date.
If it was a COS, did she file another COS back to H4, and did the employer file an H1 in July 2008?
If no, then she has been in H1 status from the October 2007.
Further, did she get hired by a new employer in 2008, or did she just get a project? A person on H1 needs to get paid, even if the person doesn't have a project to work on.
And you can't maintain anything for her. She has to maintain status on her own.

If her H1B was approved as change of status then she was on H1B status from October 1st 2007. If she was not paid on H1B from Oct 1st 2007 she was out of status till July 2008.

She is on H1 from Oct 1st 2008, if that was a COS petition.  If person's H1 is approved that means he/she has a job.
