H4 to H1 COS - Need help?

My wife has H1B approved, stamped and valid until sep 2014.

 

Currently her employer does not have projects in US and hence She travelled on H4 visa to join me in US.

 

Now she got a new job and wanted to join the company on H1 visa.

 

Please hlep me on the following queries:

 

1. Can she use her existing H1 visa for transfer with COS to join the new company?

2. In order to use her existing approved H1 visa is it required for her to travelled on H1B visa and worked in US atleast for one day?

3. Pleas let me know what to do in this point to make use of the existing H1 petition?

Her new employer has to file a COS from H4 to H1B. Once COS is approved there is no need to travel outside US.
