F1 stamping in Kingston - Jamaica ?

Hi 

 

I have recently got approved COS from H4 to F1. Trying to visit Jamaica and get F1 stamped over there. Can someone please let me know, are we allowed to get stamping in Jamaica for my case? I have emailed to Kingston-Jamaica Consulate in this regard, no reply yet. Thanks in advance.

You don't need VISA, just file COS to F1.

Im not sure were you got this answer. However i checked with my university & Attorney and they confirmed i cant get those 2 Privileges in H4. Anyways thanks for your reply.

Their are 100's of people who did it.

You need VISA at POE, and to stay in US on F1 all you have to do is file COS to F1. So you don't need VISA if you are not planning to enter into US on F1.
