H1 transfer receipt not received

Hi,

 

I have my H1B on Company A and it has expired on 10 OCT 2013 and my I-94 is expiring on 20 OCT 2013. I have also filed for extension with Company A but it has not yet been approved.

 

Now i have applied for H1 transfer with Company B, i have not yet received the receipt for it. Since my I-94 is expiring on 20 OCT 2013 should i leave back to my home country or i can still be in US since i have already filed for extension with Company A.

 

Please clarify on my status.
