parvathy
Hi, I am currently in US with an H4 visa. I also have an H1b visa stamped which was taken by my previous employer. When i resigned the job to come to the US the I-797 was taken back by the employer. The H1b visa stamped in my passport says it is valid till Sept 2014. I have not previouslyl worked in US, So i don't have a SSN. Is my H1b visa still valid? What options do i have to search for a job in the US Thanks Link to comment

omshiv
the previous H1B is not valid...but if you get a new job..your new employer can file for your H1 immediately without waiting for the quota. Link to comment
