Canada Visa Status

Hi everyone,

 

I applied my Canada visa (online Application) on 20th Sept. Its been more than 2 weeks and I haven't heard anything back.

 

Some of my friends said that you will get to know the result in 10 days. Am wondering if the Govt Shutdown is delaying the process.

 

Did any one here applied for Canada visa recently and got approval?

 

Please let me know and Thanks in Advance.

Even I applied for visa on Sept '10th and I still didn't hear anything from them. I did paper file, mailed the docs to LA office.

Hi Raj,

 

I recently got approved and I also sent out my passport to them for stamping. The govt. shutdown might cause a delay but shouldn't take too long.You should be hearing from them by this weekend.

 I did get an email last week to send my passport. I have mailed my passport nth yet. But for the initial documents submission,

 I had submitted the application online on Sept 19 and got the email to send the passport on Oct 2nd.

I've applied on 25th September and i haven't heard anything yet.

 

I was told by my frnz that i will get to know in 2-3 weeks. So, hopefully i'll know by this weekend.

 

Regarding Govt Shutdown, I don't think it is no way related for getting Canadian Visa.

I have sent documents on September 20th to Newyork consulate  .Got passport on oct 5th with the stamping.

 

I think you will also get soon .

Hi..Even i had applied online on September 19th.But dont see anything except the submission confirmation.Could you guys tell me if these applications are processed in USA or it doesnot matter..Also at what time have you received the passport request.This really worries me.

Looks like a 2 guys here said that they got approvals. Good to hear that. 

 

I even checked the status in online and it still shows they are processing applications on Sep 10th (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp) and the processing time is 16 days.

 

So lets wait and see if it gets updated in this week. Hopefully everyone's gets through.
