very_accurate_Indian Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 Is there any agency that certifies my business as "Women Owned" or "Minority" or"small business" or "disadvantaged business" if I am an Indian who is 100% in control of firm ?
JoeF Posted October 7, 2013 Report Posted October 7, 2013 Probably the Department of Labor. Shut down at the moment...
t75 Posted October 8, 2013 Report Posted October 8, 2013 Are you an LPR or a USC? You are an Asian or Pacific Islander. Be careful trying to claim benefits you are not entitled to claim on the basis of your ethnic background. If you have a business and are posting this type of question to a forum, you need to pay for an attorney and CPA to represent you.
cap-gap Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 for WBE,(woman owned) claim, need not be citizen but LPR is good enuf.. for MBE (minority) , u need to be a citizen.. the certification is generally done at regional levels..
cap-gap Posted October 23, 2013 Report Posted October 23, 2013 naturalized citizens of asian indian ethnicity are allowed to claim MBE certification..
