query_h1b_travel Posted October 5, 2013 Report Share Posted October 5, 2013 Hi, My son is a USC, we applied for renewal old passport and received new passport.But old passport is so far not received.His India trip is planned soon. Tried looking for endorsement of PIO card with new passport, Indian consulate needs original old passport. will it be an issue if he travels to India with new valid US passport with PIO card , which has mention of old passport. is it OK to show photocopy of old passport and explain the situation to POE at India? xfitter Posted October 7, 2013 Report Share Posted October 7, 2013 I guess you would need the original old passport to endorse PIO or travel to India. Usually, the old US passport comes in a separate envelope a couple of days after receiving the renewed new US passport. Link to comment

Do you see in any issue at POE india in case of travel just with PIO + New valid passport, as very little time left ? Link to comment
