Only I797C received by employer - I797A not received

I am planning to go for stamping to Canada in Nov.

 

However my employer has only received I797C. He has not received I 797A.

 

Is it possible to get stamping done with I797C only? He will request for duplicate for I797A copy but would take 3 or more months. I cannot wait as I need to travel to India.

 

Please advise.

I 797C is a receipt, not is not a approval notice.

797C is receipt dude, that's not approval.

Did your employer said that your H1 is approved??

Yes the H1 is approved. I checked it on USCIS website with the receipt number and also have received the Approval email from USCIS stating the period of approval and I94 number.

 

However in the mail my employer only received I797C and did not receive I797A. So what should be my next step in this case as I need to visit India soon.

Wait till your employer gets the 797 or tell him to mail it to India if you can't wait.

Did u goto same consulate that was said in I-797C or any othre consulate ?
