So I must be travelling to US before my I797 expires and apply for an extension ? Or can i apply for extension somewhere in June or July 2014 ? Link to comment
jairichi
So I must be travelling to US before my I797 expires and apply for an extension ? Or can i apply for extension somewhere in June or July 2014 ? Sorry I thought you are already in US. Your visa is valid till 30th Sept. Yes, you need to travel before your I797 expires. Visa is just an entry document and it has nothing to do with valid stay in US. Since you are outside US once you enter you would get an I94 with a validity date. Based on that and your I797 you need to apply for extension Link to comment
