Changing roles before applying for PERM

Hello,

 

I am working full time with a Fortune 500 company as a QA engineer. I still have 3 years left on my H1B and I have been thinking of changing my role.

Lets say I move to product management, how will this effect my green card process in future. 

 

I have 7 years experience in QA now with big companies. Now, if I move to Product management and file my green card, will it cause problems?

For a GC, that employer should have a job and that job requirements should match your profile then you will start the GC process.

So does that GC job matches your profile??
