Labor pending, completed 6 yrs - got 3 years extension

Hi,

 

I  have completed my six years on H1 b and labor was applied in sixth year. I am out of country keeping 2 days on existing H1.

 

I applied for H1 extension based on labor pending status.

Labor applied - 4 september 2012

 

H1b approval - 20 september 2013

H1b expirty - 17 september 2016

 

I am very surprised and what went wrong to grant 3 years extension instead of one year.

 

I have stamping scheduled for next week and scared if something goes wrong in stamping because of this.

 

My company immigration is not responding on this.

 

Please try to explain this situation if anyone has any idea. thanks a lot.
