bhalc
I am having trouble getting the lawyer to respond in a timely manner. She was very good until she collected the payment (which is obvious). Now I would like to change the lawyer. My questions are: 1. When is the right stage to change the lawyer without getting into hassle from law firm?2. Can the present lawyer create a problem in future? 3. What all docs I have to make sure that I should retain from her before shifting as I don't have to talk to them again?I thank you all in advance. Link to comment
JoeF
You can change a lawyer any time. There should not be any hassle. Lawyers are professionals. You just cancel the retainer, have your new lawyer request your file from the old lawyer, and file form G28 with USCIS to tell them that you have a new lawyer. Link to comment
