I am planning to transfer H1 from company A to company B.

Once the petition is approved when can I switch to company B - is there a definite timeline?

Is it ok to continue to work for Company A for a month and then shift to company B after the approval?

ok but what is the trigger to move from Company A to B?

I am not able to understand what indicates uscis that I have moved from A to B and not out of status at any point of time.

Once you switch to employer B then your employer A would send USCIS a request to revoke your H1B as you no longer work for them.
