H1b approved but doubt abt starting work or delaying

Hi guys,

 

My H1 approved this year, i was on H4 earlier,if i am not starting work on oct 1st n going back to COS h4 will i hav a chance to get back to h1 status once i find a job at a later point?

 

what is the procedure for getting back to H1 status? is there any seperate fee and wait period or is it immdiate?

A new employer can file a cap exempt H1B petition and on approval you can begin working immediately. New employer pays H1B fee. Normal processing 2.5 months and premium processing 15 calendar days.
