Jason Ma
60 days grace period is allowed. May I know the grace period started from OPT expiration date or the date of denial? Since it is denied after the expiration date Link to comment
Jason Ma
what's the reason for denial?. My course CIP is not qualified for STEM extension. Link to comment
rahul412
My course CIP is not qualified for STEM extension. How did you applied for ext when you are not eligible for that?? Link to comment
JoeF
My course CIP is not qualified for STEM extension. Why did you apply for an extension in the first place then? This looks like a frivolous application which you knew from the start would not get approved. That may mean that the 60 days grace period started from the OPT expiration. Link to comment
Jason Ma
How did you applied for ext when you are not eligible for that?? My advisor at school said I was eligible for an ext. She filed the document for me. I cannot blame on her because I'm also the one who made this mistake. Link to comment

Your school DSO didn't mentioned that you are not eligible for ext before issuing you an I20? Link to comment
