Canceled my OPT thought I wanted go to PHD school, then regret my choice and Can i get my OPT back?

I'm an international student. I graduated my master in ISU in this May and applied OPT but in June I decided to go to NIU for a PhD program so I canceled my OPT. now it's September and I regretted my decision and I want to quit my PhD program from NIU and get the OPT from my master degree. does this work? or I'm totally screwed.

I doubt whether you would be able to get back your Master's OPT. Wait for other members opinion.

Once your SEVIS record is changed from OPT to back, it cannot be changed back to OPT. Ask your school's DSO.
