But, that old **** degree can still not be used for an H1 in the Masters quota, because **** was a for-profit institution. Link to comment

cq8212 Posted September 15, 2013 Author Report Share Posted September 15, 2013 hello, all i know an new rule "master's cap", http://www.murthy.com/2012/11/19/requirements-for-u-s-masters-graduates-to-enjoy-benefit-of-h1b-masters-cap/ an degree from for-profit school can't use for h1b master quota. although my **** degree is valid my question is i have h1b visa before at 2008, then i transfer to H4 at 2012, now i need to get another h1b from another company, i don't limited by 20000 master or 65000 regualr cap,right? may i get trouble ? i know the best way is get another master degree from an famous university. but now im 30+, and have an baby. don't have too much time to complete another degree. thanks for all helps. omshiv Posted September 16, 2013 Report Share Posted September 16, 2013 You do not fall in the regular Quota...but the point is..your H1 transfer might get into problems with RFE related to your Univ degree....but I would suggest you to go ahead and ask your new employer to file your H1B.
