COS from h1 to F1 -- will i get a new I-94 ?

Hello , 

 

I am transferring from an H1B to F1 status . How much time will the COS take ?

 

Also what happens to the I-94 - do i get a new I-94 with the COS approval notice itself ?

or

Is there a possibility that they just approve the COS to F1 and NOT provide an I-94 with the approval ...

 

I am a bit worried.

It will take at least 2.5 months.

You might get new I94 along with COS approval or you might not.
