Birth Certificate Original lost but photocopy is there?

Hi,

I took an integrated birth certificate (called community,nativity and date of birth certificate) 10 years back and I lost my original few years back.Is it ok to proceed with the photo copy of it for grren card processing or is it must to have the original?

Also in the place of birht in my certificate is wrong does it matter or only date of birth is important?
