H1 expiring soon and need to travel

Hi All,

 

I am planning to go to India on November 14th 2013 and return back on December 10th 2013. My H1 is going to get expired on February 7th 2014.

 

I am worried that I might have issues on Port of Entry because of less numbers of days left on my visa.

 

Do you think it's safe to travel during that time frame?

 

My employer told me that he will start my extension process one month before my visa gets expire.

 

Also, if possible please let me know what precautions I should take while I am travelling.
