I am being laid off and my last day of employment is Aug 30th 2013, however another employer filed LCA for me on Aug 27th, 2013. My question is will I be in status after Aug 30th? I know LCA takes 5-7 days for approval, and the new employer will be filing application with USCIS at the same day I will receive LCA approval notice.

Although you should be good..since its a long weekend..but if possible do a COS to B1/B2...also ask your new employer to file H1B in PP.
