Pending OPT Extension is approved, H1-B also approved. Can I revoke H1B to stay on OPT Extension?

Hi Guys,

 

I'm a masters student. I got my initial OPT on 20th Dec 2011 and it was valid till 19th Dec 2012. I have applied for OPT Extension on Sep 2012, but I got an RFE and there was a delay in approval (I was in status, as per USCIS rules if OPT Extension is pending, the candidate will be in status for 180 days after expiry of initial OPT).

 

Meanwhile I applied for H1-B on April 2013 and it is approved and starts from Oct 2013 and valid till Nov 2014. Now after two months of my H1-B approval in June 2013, my OPT Extension that is long pending got approved and is valid till May 2014. 

 

My question -  Is there any way I can cancel or revoke my H1-B ( which is approved and starts Oct 2013 and valid till Nov 2014) and continue to be on my OPT Extension till April 2014 and then apply for H1-B on April 2014 ?
