rexmercadoptrp Posted August 26, 2013 Report Posted August 26, 2013 Good day! I am a sports physiotherapist from the Philippines who has been practicing for 5 years and 10 months now. I've signed up with an agency and the will be filing an EB-2 for me this October. Currently I have a girlfriend and I plan to bring her to the US as my dependent. To do this, we have to get married first right? My questions are: 1. When would it be better to get married before or after my agency files my EB-2 application this October? It takes 1-2 months for the marriage certificate to be released. 2. According to the processing associate at the agency, just in case that they decide to file for me as single then we decide to marry after the filing, all i have to do is when the Embassy sets me up for an interview is to bring my wife along to the interview. Voila! She instantly becomes my dependent. (If the embassy approves of my visa) Is this true?
