sanketjoshi Posted August 25, 2013 Report Share Posted August 25, 2013 Hello All, My F-1 visa will expire in Dec 01,2013 but I have valid OPT till Dec 2014 so I don't have status issues but because of some family emergency I need to go to India in this December which will be not possible for me because of visa expiration. Is there any possible way I can visit my family and can easily re-enter in USA without any trouble? Please help or advise. Thanks. Link to comment

Anyhow, you need valid visa at POE. Did you filed your H1 or not?? Link to comment
livliv Posted August 27, 2013 Report Share Posted August 27, 2013 You can certainly try to apply for Visa renewal, but there is some risk of denial being on OPT. It will be better if you can travel and return before your Visa expires. Link to comment
